Graduate Environmental Engineer

Due to ongoing growth, Alliance Environmental Engineering & Consulting (Alliance) is seeking a talented and self-motivated graduate engineer to join our team.

This hands-on role will include field work, data collation and preparation of technical reports under the supervision of senior staff for a variety of contaminated land projects. The Candidate:
You are a flexible, self motivated and will have:
•    Tertiary Qualification - Environmental Engineering Degree or equivalent
•    Demonstrated interest and ability to work as part of an engineering team
•    Ability to critically think and analyse complex data
•    Ability to schedule & prioritise tasks
•    Good team & interpersonal skills
•    Good written and oral communication skills

Environmental Engineer with 2-3 years experience:

Due to ongoing growth, Alliance Environmental Engineering & Consulting (Alliance) is looking to add a motivated environmental engineer with 2-3 years contaminated land experience ready to progress their career.

The Role
You will support and manage contaminated land and remediation projects from our national portfolio of clients. You will work with industry leaders and technical experts and interface with a variety of clients.

Your role will include both office-based and hands-on field activities and will include occasional overnight interstate travel.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Management of project teams and subcontractors
  • Planning, coordinating and preparing for field work; (including the supervision of soil bore and monitoring well installation, soil excavation, remediation and decommissioning)
  • Collection of soil, groundwater and surface water samples
  • Interpretation of laboratory analytical results and preparation of technical reports
  • Developing plans for management of contamination issues (Remediation Action Plans, Groundwater Management Plans)

The Candidate:

You possess knowledge of contaminated land assessment, investigation guidelines and environmental regulations and have demonstrated experience in conducting such investigations and a track record of delivering quality projects on time and within budget.
