Underground Petroleum Storage Tanks Present Risk When Poorly Designed

EPA Victoria has highlighted Underground Storage Tanks (USTs) as being a significant risk for environmental contamination when poorly designed. 

Owners and operators have a number of duties under law to protect people, property and the environment including taking all practicable measures to prevent pollution of groundwater.

In order to reduce the risk of significant environmental impacts, the EPA has released the important guidelines below that provide a key point of reference on design, installation and management aspects of both new and existing UPSS.
